About the project
As part of an extensive modernization project by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), 59 double-deck multiple units were built by Bombardier Transportation Switzerland AG. SBF developed exclusive headlights for this pioneering project. These combine LED signal light and halogen high beam and ensure energy-efficient lighting as well as optimal visibility and safety. Full surface window heating ensures a clear view in all weathers and therefore maximum operational safety
