About the project
Hamburg-based S-Bahn commissioned Bombardier to deliver BR 490 series electric multiple units. SBF has been a reliable partner in this project since 2015, providing a comprehensive interior system for 90 vehicles. These include air conditioning ducts, plastic interior ceilings with support structure and modern full LED lighting. By the end of 2026, a further 64 multiple units were called up, continuing the success story of this project.
